Svartilaagen is a Black Metal band from Fredrikstad, Norway, formed by brothers Blodrand (Logan Armand Spetz) and Skuggvintr (Liam Gudmund Spetz).
Today, Svartilaagen stands as a four-piece, delivering raw, heavy, and uncompromising black metal, both live and in the studio. Inspiration is drawn from ancient folk melodies and Norse mythology, giving the sound a cold, mythic, and atmospheric edge.
Early chapters featured Darth Jens on guitars/vocals and FallGrim on vocals/guitars. Following their departure, the brotherhood welcomed KAdavER and Abyss, solidifying the lineup into the force it is today.
